Vice President

Society of Open Science

Since November 2022, as Vice President of the *Society of Open Science*, the largest student-run science club at Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for the Gifted with over 21,000 followers, I have managed tasks for the Specialist and Design departments and successfully organized four annual events: *Science Fair*, *Science Tour*, *Science Tornado*, and *Science Camp*.
In March 2024, as Head Organizer of the *Science Fair*, I coordinated an event featuring physics, chemistry, and biology experiments, along with science-based life application games, attracting 5,000 attendees and successfully raising $2,800 from philanthropists. It was truly fulfilling to witness the excitement of young participants and the warm support from the community.
From March to May 2024, I led the *Science Tour*, an initiative to inspire 8,000 primary and secondary students across 40 schools in Hanoi through scientific models and hands-on experiments in physics, chemistry, and biology. Experiencing the joy of discovery in these young students as they engaged with science fueled my motivation and highlighted the impact of experiential learning.
In August and September 2024, I spearheaded the *Science Tornado*, an annual science exhibition showcasing experiments and high-tech models in physics, chemistry, and biology, attracting 7,000 attendees and securing average sponsorships of $4,000 each season. Seeing the positive reactions and enthusiasm from visitors during science activities was the biggest reward, reinforcing my belief in the importance of bringing science into everyday life.

From June to July 2024, I organized *Science Camp*, a 6-7 day science summer camp for children aged 7-13 held at Jean Piaget Primary School, with 100-120 campers each season, generating around $14,000 in revenue. I designed five lesson plans covering scientific topics outside the standard curriculum, teaching 120 students through experiments, hands-on activities, and educational games. The smiles and curious eyes of the children in every lesson showed me the deep value of making scientific knowledge accessible to young minds, fostering a foundation for curiosity and critical thinking.
Reflecting on this journey, I not only gained substantial experience in organization and leadership but also grew in my ability to connect with and share my passion for science. Each event and interaction is a treasured memory, giving me confidence and purpose in the path I have chosen.
Founder

Swiftlet NestGen

Since November 2023, as the founder of Swiftlet NestGen, a documentary film project initiated by swiftlet enthusiasts in Hanoi, I have aimed to promote swiftlet conservation in Northern Vietnam.

Through this project, I hosted five sharing sessions on sustainable production methods for swiftlet nests, fostering a community of responsible consumers and conservationists. I organized a tour to a swiftlet farm in Nam Dinh, where 30 attendees gained firsthand insights into the swiftlet industry. In developing our documentary, I wrote scripts, planned storyboards, and collaborated with experts to refine our film in post-production. Additionally, I worked with experts from the Hanoi University of Science and Technology to implement IoT technology for real-time monitoring of swiftlet health and habitats, both in the wild and at 10 farms in Nam Dinh. This integration of science and media has been a rewarding journey, bridging technology with awareness for swiftlet conservation.

In this role, I planned and oriented club activities, managed members, maintained the club’s fan page, wrote soccer articles, and successfully organized three sports tournaments. A standout experience was hosting a soccer tournament at Quang Minh Secondary School in Hiep Hoa, Bac Giang, which attracted 40 student participants. Being part of Sportlight has not only allowed me to pursue my passion but has also given me the chance to spread the joy and team spirit of soccer among young players.

Head of Logistics Department

Sportlight

Since childhood, I have had a deep passion for soccer, and as I grew older, this passion fueled my desire to engage in more soccer-related projects. This drive ultimately led me to join Sportlight, where I took on the role of Head of the Logistics Department from November 2022 to October 2023. Sportlight is a soccer club founded by students who share the same enthusiasm, and my position there allowed me to channel my love for the sport into meaningful activities.
